Wonderful Knitting Tote

May 8, 2010

Totes are fabulous for so many things – shopping, storing, and carrying to name a few. I decided I needed a tote to hold my current knitting projects in. Previously, I made a wonderful tote bag, called the Chubby Charmer. The pattern was created by Penny Sturges of Quilts Illustrated. I altered the pattern to make a smaller bag, and to change the pattern on the bag. That is, instead of quilted squares, I decided to make horizontal stripes. I love this bag, and get a lot of complements when I carry it!

This picture shows my bag. I made another exactly like it for a dear friend that lives in Anchorage.

Your dear friend in Anchorage loves her Chubby Charmer Bag. It accompanies me to every knitting class and group I attend. All the ladies ask me where I got it. I enjoy telling them it was a gift from my dear friend who made it especially for me. One lady said, “Boy, you’ve got a great friend!” Don’t I know it;)
